On the full Notifications page, use the filter controls to view notifications by:
- Type

Unread Badge
The bell icon in the navigation bar shows a badge with the count of unread notifications. The count updates automatically.
Push Notifications (Mobile / Browser)
If your clinic has Push Notifications enabled:
- When you first log in, your browser may ask "Allow notifications?"
- Click Allow to receive push notifications even when the app is not the active tab.
- To disable, click Disallow or manage notifications in your browser settings.
Push notifications deliver the same alerts as in-app notifications to your device or browser.
Notification Preferences
Notification delivery channels (email, SMS, push) are configured by your administrator in Settings → Notifications. Contact your admin if you need to change how or when notifications are sent.
Patient Notifications
The system can also send notifications directly to patients for:
- Appointment reminders (email or SMS)
- Lab result availability
- Follow-up reminders
These are sent automatically based on the notification settings configured in Settings → Notifications.
Tips
- Check notifications at the start of your shift to catch any overnight alerts (lab results, low stock, etc.).
- Critical alerts such as Out of Stock and STAT lab result notifications should be actioned immediately.
- Administrators can set escalation rules so that unanswered alerts are re-sent or forwarded to another staff member.
